What do missed calls cost you?

Three numbers from your own business. Every figure below is worked out from them, with the working shown.

The numbers filled in are an example, not an average. Change them to yours.

Count the missed calls in your recent calls for the last full week. Each number once.

What this leaves out

  • Calls that weren't jobs

Some missed calls are suppliers, sales calls and wrong numbers. That's what the percentage is for: count only the callers you could have won.

  • Repeat work

A customer you win once may call you again for years. The sum counts the first job only.

  • Callers who try again

Some people ring back or leave a message. If most of yours do, lower your missed calls to the ones you never heard from.

Set up for you, on your number. It rings you so you hear it before it takes a real call.
