Buildrok billing is built to be boring: one subscription per site, managed through a standard Stripe portal, with no surprise line items. Here's how the pieces fit together.
What The Subscription Covers
Your plan covers the full website toolkit: hosting, SSL, the trade-specific lead form, the Lead Inbox, and serving your site on a custom domain. Current plans (full details on the pricing page):
- Single Page: $29/month, or $23/month billed annually.
- Multi Page: $49/month, or $39/month billed annually. Adds separate Services and Contact pages for stronger local SEO.
- Extra Pages Pack: a flat $20/month add-on for up to 5 extra pages on a Multi Page plan.
Two things are deliberately outside the subscription:
- Publishing to buildrok.com/s/your-business is free. The subscription is what keeps your site running on a custom domain with the full toolkit; the free address works without one.
- Custom domains are a separate one-off purchase. A domain bought through Buildrok is a yearly registration billed once, not a plan feature. Connecting a domain you already own costs nothing. See Connecting Your Domain.
Managing Your Card, Invoices, And Plan
Everything self-service lives behind one button:
- Go to your Account page and open the Billing tab.
- Find the site whose subscription you want to manage and click Manage Billing & Invoices.
- That opens the secure Stripe billing portal, where you can update your card, download every invoice, and cancel the subscription.
Buildrok never sees or stores your card details; payment runs entirely through Stripe.
Cancelling
Cancel from the same Stripe portal, any time, with no cancellation fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: your site stays fully live until then, and you simply aren't charged again.
What Happens If A Subscription Lapses
Whether you cancelled on purpose or a card payment failed, the same gentle rules apply:
- Your site stays on its free address. The buildrok.com/s version of your site keeps working.
- The custom domain shows a renew notice. Instead of your site, visitors on your custom domain see a notice that the site is awaiting renewal, until payment is sorted.
- Nothing is deleted. Your content, photos, and leads are preserved. Renew and the custom domain picks up right where it left off.
- Your domain stays yours. Domains bought through Buildrok are registered in your name. If you're leaving for good, contact support for the transfer code (EPP) and move it wherever you like.
Refunds
Our refund policy is published at buildrok.com/refunds. If something has gone wrong with a charge, contact support and a human will look at it.
Common Questions
Is there a free plan?
You can build unlimited drafts and preview every template free, with no card and no account needed to start. Publishing to your free buildrok.com/s address is also free. Paid plans add the lead capture toolkit and custom domain support.
When does cancellation take effect?
At the end of your current billing period. Your site stays fully live until then, and you won't be charged again.
Will I lose my site content if my subscription lapses?
No. Your site's content is preserved exactly as you published it. The custom domain shows a renew notice until payment is sorted, and everything comes straight back when you renew.
Is my custom domain part of the subscription?
No. Domains bought through Buildrok are a separate one-off yearly registration, and they're registered in your name. If you cancel, contact support for your transfer code (EPP) to move the domain to another registrar.
