Moving design

Departures

Built from: A split-flap departure board, the business name clacked out one tile at a time across the top.

The flagship editorial layout. Suits a moving company selling packing, storage and white-glove service, not just a truck.

Done for you

We'll build your moving company website in 2 business days, quote form first.

People book the mover who makes the quote easiest. The site is a quote form with a company around it.

$99 today, $400 on approval, then $79/month starting 30 days after go-live. 30-day money-back guarantee from the day it goes live, no reason needed, and you keep the domain. Registration and the first year are included.

Rather build it yourself? Start free. Either way you end up in the same editor, with the same Lead Inbox; done for you means the first version is built for you, and we keep changing it on the $79/month managed plan.

  • A vague quote is a lost job.

The form asks what it needs to price it: from, to, date, rooms, stairs, the piano. You get a lead you can quote, not a phone tag.

  • They want a date, not a conversation.

The form asks for the move date up front, and whether it is flexible, so you are replying to people you can actually take.

The moving website for firms who do it properly

Moving sites tend to look interchangeable, so the customer picks on price because you have given them nothing else to pick on. Departures sets your business name across the top like a departure board, puts your photo or a film of a real move beside it, sets out exactly what your crews do, and asks the questions a proper survey asks.

Built for full-service residential movers, commercial and office relocation firms, long-distance carriers, and packing and storage operators. Every section is shaped for a customer who has been burned by a cheap quote once and is now choosing on competence.

  • Free to build and preview
  • Your name on a departure board
  • A survey-first quote form
  • Every request in your email and Lead Inbox

Stop being compared on hourly rate alone

Two things push a moving customer to the cheapest quote. Every site looks the same, so there is nothing to compare except the number. And nobody explains what actually happens on the day, so the customer assumes it is the same job either way. Departures answers both before the customer has scrolled far.

  • The first screen sets the standard

Your business name set in split-flap tiles across a blue field, one line under it, and your photo or a film of a real move in a tilted frame beside it. A film of a move ships with the design; swap in your own footage or a photograph whenever you like.

  • The detail is the difference

Four services get the long-form treatment: a photograph, a full description and a list of what's included. That is where a proper mover separates from a van and two guys, and it is the part a lot of moving sites leave out.

  • A quote form that prices the job

Both addresses, the property type, floor and stairs at each end, home size, the date and how flexible it is, the services needed, specialty items and storage. Enough to put a number on the move before you call back, and to skip surveying jobs you were never going to win.

  • Restraint that reads as competence

No starbursts, no five-star rows on every card, no countdown banners. Hairlines, space and typography carry the page, which is what a customer moving a house already associates with a firm that will not damage it.

What ships switched on

The same lead tools as every Buildrok site, wrapped in a design built for a higher-value move.

  • A departure-board hero

Your business name in split-flap tiles across a blue field, the headline and one line under it, and your photo or film in a tilted frame beside them. On phones, and for visitors who ask their device for less motion, the photograph shows instead of the film.

  • Services as a ledger

Your services set as a ruled index, each row with a number, a line-art mark, the title and the full description: two to a row on a wide screen, and a plain list on a phone.

  • Move-day timeline

Survey, written plan, pack and protect, place and clear: each step a dark row on the same departure board as the hero, its number on flap tiles and your own label beside it. Every step is yours to rename and rewrite.

  • Interactive coverage plot

Every area you cover, listed as real text and plotted on a grid that lights up as the customer moves through the list. No third-party map embed and no API key.

  • Before and after plates

The same room wrapped in the morning and settled by evening, side by side at the same scale. No slider to drag and no stamps burned across the image.

  • Crew-size tiers

Two, three or four movers set as one ruled comparison on a wide screen rather than three competing pricing cards, so the customer understands the crew is sized to the home. On a phone they stack.

From template to booked moves in three steps

  1. Preview Departures

Your site opens with sample content, your business name on the departure board and a working quote form. Nothing to install and no card required.

  2. Make it yours, live

Tap any text to edit it. Swap the film or photo, add photographs of your own crews and trucks, set your crew tiers, and pick a color preset or your own colors. Every change saves as you go.

  3. Publish and take inquiries

Publish it, then put it on your own domain when you're ready. Quote requests arrive by email and land in your Lead Inbox at the same time.

The lead system behind the design

A beautiful site that does not turn into booked moves is decoration. Here is what happens when a customer reaches the bottom of the page.

  1. Customer fills in the quote form

Both addresses, property type, floor and stairs at each end, home size, the date and how flexible it is, services needed, specialty items and storage. Enough to price the move without a call.

  2. Junk and bot messages are blocked

A hidden honeypot field, a time trap, a gibberish-name check and a link filter run on the server for every submission, so the junk is filtered out before it reaches you.

  3. You get an email

The inquiry arrives in your email with every answer the customer gave, so you can book the survey from your phone between jobs.

  4. The lead lands in your dashboard

The same inquiry appears in your Lead Inbox, where you move it from new to contacted, quoted, booked or lost, so nothing slips between a first call and a confirmed date.

Show the job, not a list of words

Four services get a photograph, a long-form explanation, and the inclusions written out. Customers see the standard you hold before they read a single feature bullet, which is what separates a proper quote from a cheap one.

  • Residential moving
  • Commercial and office relocation
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Storage solutions
  • Long-distance moves
  • Furniture assembly

Why customers hand you their keys

Moving is a trust purchase before it is a price one. The template gives you the space and the prompts to answer that quietly, without plastering badges across the page, and each of these appears once you fill it in.

  • Your license and bond
  • Your cargo and liability cover
  • Who is on your crews
  • Your written quote, and what it covers
  • Your survey, in person or over video
  • What happens if something gets damaged

Departures template questions

How is Departures different from the Cargo moving template?

Same lead tools, different argument. Cargo is built around clarity and speed: the four steps of the move in the hero and the services as cards. Departures is built around perceived competence: your name on a departure board, a ruled services ledger, long-form detail on each service, and a survey-first quote form. Pick Cargo if you compete on responsiveness, Departures if you compete on how carefully the job gets done.

Do I need my own video for the hero?

No. A film of a move ships with the design and plays silently on a loop in the tilted frame beside the departure board. You can replace it with your own footage or a still photograph at any time. On phones, the photograph shows instead of the film.

Will the video slow my site down or hurt SEO?

The film is muted, loops, and sits over a still photograph that shows first, so nothing shifts as it loads and the headline is readable before the film arrives. Phones, and visitors who have asked their device for reduced motion, never download the film at all.

Is the coverage map a real map?

It is a plotted grid rather than an embedded map, on purpose. A map embed is heavy, needs an API key, cannot be styled to match, and answers the wrong question: it shows where your office is, not whether you come to where the customer lives. Departures lists every area you cover as real text and plots it alongside, which loads faster and gives search engines the place names to read.

Can I change the colors and fonts?

Yes. Departures starts on a deep blue palette with a display typeface chosen for it, but you can pick another color preset or your own colors, change the fonts, and switch the hero, services, FAQ and closing sections to the style of another moving design. Every color preset is checked for readable contrast.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. On a phone the hero shows your photograph rather than the film, the services ledger becomes a plain list, the crew tiers stack into panels, and a call button stays at the bottom of the screen as the customer scrolls.

Is it really free to preview?

Yes. Preview the full template, edit your company name, services, crew tiers, and photography, and share a preview link without entering any payment details. Publishing at a free Buildrok address costs nothing too; a paid plan is only needed to put it on your own domain.

Quote properly. Look the part.
